Ivelina Ilieva
Born: August 16, 1991 in Haskovo
Ivelina Ilieva is our most successful judoka in recent years. European runner-up from Kazan 2016. She reached the prestigious fifth place at the World Championships in Tokyo 2019. This is the first such success in the middle categories for the native female judo.
Ilieva is also fifth at the European Championships - Prague 2020, Warsaw 2017, Montpellier 2014 in the category 57 kg.
She also has 3 medals from major sambo championships. World and European champion, respectively from 2010 and 2011, also won bronze at the planetary championship in 2011.
